snarky commentary by smf for 4LAKidsNews
15 Sept 2012 :: In what can generously be called a puff-piece interview in The Huffington Post – Stephanie Abrams, LAUSD Social Media Director, Highlights Back-To-School Success | http://huff.to/TWrrcA – posted Friday - the date of the 3rd or 5th (depending on whether you take your news from Fox or the Daily News …and a KPCC story said 3rd) Annual LAUSD Student Recovery Day, Ms Abrams doesn’t mention Student Recovery Day, LAUSD’s media-driven attendance sweep – but instead discusses her own celebrity.
She does give us one piece of insight into being Social Media Director at LAUSD:
Q: Namecheck some of your favorite Twitter and Facebook accounts that you follow.
A: Personally, I enjoy following my friends updates about their children so I’ll just put some of the accounts I follow at work:
@LAMayorsOffice @WassermanFDN @GatesFoundation @EducationWeek @EducateOurState @TamaraBevens @LADNschools @LATimesOpinion @LAFund @LASchoolReport @HuffingtonPost @KLCStv
smf:
Really?
I thought the idea of digital media/CGI is to hide the hidden strings.
as to @LAFund, @LASchoolReport , @KLCStv; @4LAKids presumes that Ms.Abrams (@Techymom) writes (or at a minimum, contributes to) those …as she does @DrDeasyLAUSD.
