L.A. Unified plans to spend another $26 million on iPads (or maybe Chromebooks) needed for expanded state testing.
L.A. Unified also plans to spend $16.5 million more to get new student info system to work.
Rubin of bond oversight: There numerous probs w the new state tests last year & most "were highly centered on the iPads."
BUT he added, many probs could be corrected & could be related to lack of familiarity w iPads.
