2cents smf smf: Thie above is  is an official City of LA Press Release, generated and circulated by city employees at city expense. The Mayor’s Partnership /AKA/  The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools is an independent agency not affiliated with the City of Los Angeles because the state constitution and case law (LAUSD v.Villaraigosa) expressly  forbids City Government from being involved in operating public schools. The mayor should use his bully pulpit to attract partners and investors in public education – but not at the exclusion of LAUSD and the school children who are not a part of PALS.
