background On Monday, July 12, 2010, Principal Suzanne Blake was wrongfully removed from her position at CLAHS#9 without any feedback from parents, teachers, and students. This decision was made in violation of the school's unique "Memorandum of Understanding" contract with LAUSD. At this (Friday's) morning’s action plan meeting held at the Chinatown Library, it was decided that a formal picket protest will be held this coming Monday, July 19, 2010 @3pm-8pm. The protest will be held in front of LAUSD Office Headquarters. The address is: LAUSD Headquarters 333 S. Beaudry Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90017 (Paid parking is available across the street in a parking lot located under the condominium complex at the corner of Miramar St & Huntley Dr… or you can try to find a parking meter or take the bus) Supporters of Ms. Blake are asked to bring signs, noisemakers, bullhorns, friends, parents, and families. Some ideas for sign slogans are: “Save Ms. Blake!” “Bring Back Blake!” “Bring Back Blake for our Kids’ Sake!”, and “#9 is Just Fine!” Students who show up to the picket are encouraged to BE CREATIVE. Musicians: bring your instruments. Dancers: put on your leotards and dancing shoes. Visual artists: work on signs, banners, etc.  Actors: wear a costume and be prepared to chant and project those voices. Everyone… this is the time to make a difference! We need 100′s of you!
